Professional experience
At ING, Willem held several senior positions in risk and general management, most recently as director of WestlandUtrecht Bank. When it comes to pension, Willem acquired knowledge and experience as a member of the accountability bodies of Pensioenfonds ING and ING CDC Pensioenfonds.
Most important goal
“I fully support the goals of the pension fund, such as providing a good pension by way of a prudent investment policy and offering participants pension options. And given the current situation, we’re facing plenty of challenges. For instance, developments on the financial markets, low interest rates, the regulatory environment and the new national pension agreement that's due to take effect in 2026. I look forward to contributing to the fund's achievements.”
