Dick Ravesteijn

Professional experience
Dick has worked at ING Bank NV since 1996. There he has built a broad network. Until recently, Dick was responsible within the management team 'Financial Markets' for the "Regulatory" portfolio.  He managed, coordinated and accomplished new and amended legislation and regulations for financial markets. Dick was also responsible for setting up, expanding and managing various trading units worldwide. This responsibility resulted from the various front office management positions he held within Financial Markets. This gave him extensive knowledge of financial markets, risk management of portfolios with different asset classes and of financial products. The execution of financial products, the implementation of strategic changes and transformation were also part of his duties. Since July 2023, Dick has been responsible for 'Financial Markets Netherlands & Business services '. Besides knowledge of complex financial products, Dick has a particular eye for the non-financial risks of such products.

Most important goal
Dick wants to use his knowledge and expertise to advance the fund's expected retirement outcomes. This is in the interest of the employees he represents as a member of the Central Works Council. He also wants to contribute to increasing pension awareness among participants.

CDC message
The transition to the new pension system is quite complex. It requires finding the right balance between communication, financial implications, technology and investment strategy. Follow the fund board critically in this. Together we are looking for the right balance for a good pension for all participants.
