On 7 December 2020, Willem Steenhoven was appointed to the managing board of ING CDC Pensioenfonds. As a board member, he represents the employer. Willem’s areas of focus are asset & liability management and finance & risk.
What professional experience does Willem bring to the board?
At ING, Willem fulfilled several senior positions in risk and general management, most recently as a director of WestlandUtrecht Bank. When it comes to pension, Willem acquired knowledge and experience as a member of the accountability bodies of Pensioenfonds ING and ING CDC Pensioenfonds.
Goals and challenges
“I fully support the goals of the pension fund, such as providing a good pension by way of a prudent investment policy and offering participants pension options. And given the current situation, we’re facing plenty of challenges. For instance, developments on the financial markets, low interest rates, the regulatory environment and the new national pension agreement. I look forward to contributing to the fund's achievements.”
