Vacancy: run for candidacy before 16 August so you can take an active role in your pension fund

Are you ready to face the challenge of delving into this important employment condition amid a dynamic environment? If so, sign up as a candidate for membership of the accountability body of ING CDC Pensioenfonds before 16 August 2021.  

ING CDC Pensioenfonds administers the pension plan of ING’s current and former employees and pensioners in the Netherlands. The pension fund has an accountability board (VO) consisting of four members. As a member of the VO, you will review the contents of the fund’s policies and its policy execution. You will also supervise balanced representation and have the right to advise on issues including the remuneration policy. So, as a member of the VO, you have an active role in the pension fund, adding value for your colleagues and your own development. How do you put yourself forward as a candidate?
If you’re interested in the position and believe you have the skills to contribute to the supervision of ING CDC Pensioenfonds, you have until 16 August 2021 to put yourself forward as a candidate. Bear in mind that:

In addition to professional knowledge and experience in the field of pension funds, the VO highly values diversity. The VO wants to be a reflection of the pension fund’s participants, as this ensures multiple opinions are represented and decisions are more inclusive. The VO therefore encourages people from diverse backgrounds and age groups, and with different types of skills, to participate in the elections. 

Time needed
The expected amount of time needed to fulfil this position is four hours a week on average. Discuss this with your manager.

Remuneration
All current and future members of the VO are employed by ING. You will not receive any remuneration for your efforts, as your duties as a member of the VO should be fulfilled during working hours. 

Term of office
The term of office for VO members is four years. Members can be reappointed.

Next steps in the procedure
Your response will be treated with confidentiality. An interview with the election committee may be included in the procedures. If you meet all requirements of the profile outline, your name will be added to the list of candidates.

Elections
If there is only one candidate, he/she will automatically be appointed the new member of the VO. In the event of multiple candidates, the pension fund will hold elections after the summer.
