Alfred Lagendijk has been appointed director of the board bureau of ING CDC Pensioenfonds, effective 7 April 2021. Bringing with him a wealth of professional experience, Alfred is looking forward to working with the board, the board bureau staff and all the pension fund's other internal and external stakeholders.
Alfred is joining us from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where for 25 years he was a partner in pension advisory services for clients including ING and NN. At PwC, he also held several management positions, including as a member of the management team of the People & Organisation Business Unit and as a board member of Pensions, Actuarial & Insurance Services. Prior to working at PwC, he was also a board member of pension fund Dijker van Dien. Alfred is certified in law and tax law.
Taking opportunities
As a director of our pension fund, Alfred is facing a time full of interesting challenges. The social partners will need to agree on the terms of new pension regulations due to the introduction of a new pension system in the Netherlands. And the employer and the pension fund will need to make effective agreements to execute the new pension plan and implement the choices made. This will bring about major changes in the administration of the pension fund. Alfred: “Working together with the board and the board bureau, I will make every effort to diligently execute the transition and communicate about it, always in the best interests of the participants.”
The board is happy to welcome Alfred as its new director and wishes him all the best in carrying out his duties for the pension fund.
