Are you retiring before your Dutch state pension (AOW) starts? You can use part of your pension to bridge the gap and compensate for the lack of AOW. Fully or partly. You cannot opt for this if your retirement has already started.
At ING CDC Pensioenfonds, you can align your pension with your personal wishes. For example, you can start your retirement (on a full or part-time basis) from the age of 60. However, you won’t be getting a Dutch state pension (AOW) at that point yet. To compensate, you can opt for higher pension benefits during the first years. Bear in mind that this will mean your old age pension benefits after that date will be lower for the rest of your life.
What amounts can you opt for?
Depending on the amount of your pension accrual at ING CDC Pensioenfonds, the amounts you can opt for in 2023 are as follows. The amounts are adjusted annually based on tax laws and regulations.
- EUR 12,241.32 (AOW benefit for one married individual)
- EUR 17,970.84 (AOW benefit for a single individual)
- EUR 24,482.64 (AOW benefit for two married individuals)
