Armin Becker has been appointed director of the board bureau of ING CDC Pensioenfonds. Armin started in his new position on 1 January 2016 and considers his appointment a challenge, saying he is ‘looking forward to working together with the board and staff of the board bureau, as well as with all of the stakeholders.’
Armin Becker has a wealth of experience, having worked for many years as a director of the Arcadis pension fund, which switched to a CDC pension plan in 2004. The switch was a big change for the fund’s approximately 7,000 participants, past participants and pension beneficiaries.
Dynamics of a ‘young’ fund
As a director of ING CDC Pensioenfonds, Armin will tackle the challenges relating to this new fund, which was founded in 2014 and administers a CDC pension plan on behalf of over 15,000 employees of ING Bank. It was the dynamics of a ‘young’ fund that Armin found appealing and made him decide to join ING CDC Pensioenfonds.
Trust in pensions
Armin believes ‘trust in pensions is all about communicating openly and honestly about the administration of the CDC pension plan and the fund’s financial situation.’ He also considers it essential that participants decide for themselves whether their pension is on track and what actions they can undertake.
The board is happy to welcome Armin as a director and wishes him all the best in carrying out his duties for the fund.
