Suzan de Waal-Schaafsma has won the elections for the employee representative on the accountability body of ING CDC Pensioenfonds. Her membership brings the board back to its full capacity.
The elections did not go unnoticed within ING. No less than 17% of its employees voted for one of the nine candidates running for the position of employee representative on the accountability body. ‘This score shows that employees of ING appreciate someone representing their pension interests,’ according to René Lorrier, chairman of the accountability body.
Who is Suzan de Waal-Schaafsma?
Suzan has been working at ING since 2007, gaining relevant experience in the area of (financial) reporting, risk management, audit, investments, compliance and DNB requirements. According Suzan: “Pension funds are face huge challenges like the new pension system. As new member of the accountability body, I will advise the board of ING CDC Pensioenfonds on you behalf about topics such as the investment policy, risk management and our communication with participants. And when monitoring these topics as well.”
